Angle Iron - Angle Iron can be used at the top of the opening of a fireplace to support stone or brick over the opening. Can also be used in veneering applications to support openings in doors or windows.

  • Sizes available: 30", 36", 42", 48", 54", 60", 66", 72"

Ash Dump - An ash dump is 9" in size and made of cast iron. The door is placed on the bottom of the firebox and used to clean out the ashes from the fireplace.

Clean Out Door - An 8" x 8" clean out door is available in both cast iron and steel. They are normally placed below the fireplace floor and are used to empty out the stored ashes collected from prior burnings. Depending on the style of home these may be inside if there is a basement or outside if the house is slab on grade (no basement).

Flue Rings - Flue rings are made of clay. They are inserted horizontally through the center of the chimney. A smoke pipe is then inserted through the flue ring. Rings are often referred to as thimbles.

Flue Linings - Flue lining is a clay lining built inside the chimney. This lining is designed to contain the products of combustion and prevent its penetration to the surrounding masonry units.

  • Sizes available: 8.5" x 8.5", 8.5" x 13", 13" x 13", 13" x 18"

Rotary Control Arm - Older fireplace construction may have an internal control arm for the damper. A rotary control arm replaces the original hardware and transfers the control of the damper from inside the firebox to the face of the fireplace. One size fits all.

Dampers - Dampers are made of cast iron and placed at the top of the firebox. There main purpose is to regulate the draft, air flow, and vent for the fireplace.

  • Sizes available: 24", 36", and 48"

Lead Flashing - Lead flashing is used to wrap the chimney in any and all places where water may be able to seep into the roof. The flashing will act as a barrier. This will prevent any water damage.

Air Intake - Outside air intake is a system that is installed during construction to allow air into the fireplace to allow draft. Air intakes are available in both front and rear. Air intakes are a must for all fireplaces.

Wall Ties - Wall ties are a small piece or 22 gauge, galvanized steel. Wall ties are used when applying brick or stone to a wall. The wall tie aids in fastening the stone or brick to the wall itself. Wall ties are sold by the piece or by boxes of 1000.

Fire Brick - Firebrick is available in two colors, White and Red. Firebricks differ from regular brick for several reasons.

  • It is manufactured with a higher kiln temp

  • It has air passages to allow the passage of air

  • It can withstand higher temperatures
